Establishing the Systems and Structures for Data-Driven Instruction
Sometimes, as leaders, we can be quick to move to solutions because we are eager to make change. But failing to set the proper foundation before implementation can undermine success. The same is true with data-driven instruction. Most schools have data, but not all schools create a culture for data-driven instruction that zeroes in on teacher growth and elevates learning for all students. In this workshop, leaders, educators, and schools unpack the Data-Driven Instruction Cycle (DDI). They examine effective strategies to build a data-driven culture, create staff buy-in, and avoid common pitfalls. They learn to assess their readiness for DDI and determine specific areas of improvement for moving forward. By developing these necessary conditions, schools ensure DDI is implemented with fidelity and equity.
