Jackie Gran

Before joining New Leaders in 2011, Jackie served at the U.S. Department of Education as a Special Assistant in the Offices of the Secretary and Deputy Secretary and as a senior advisor in the Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development. She was previously the National Director of Growth and Policy at New Leaders, overseeing the selection competition for new district partners and leading state and federal policy initiatives.

Jackie taught middle school in New York City. She also served as a legislative aide to Senator Edward M. Kennedy on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and a master’s degree from Pace University.
