The New Leaders Maryland program began in Baltimore City in 2005 and expanded into Prince George’s County in 2007. The program currently supports 92 New Leaders who are driving positive change for some 37,000 students in Baltimore City and Prince George’s County.
New Leaders has formed innovative partnerships with the Baltimore City and Prince George’s County Public School Systems and the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to recruit, train and support transformative school leaders with the knowledge and drive to turn underperforming schools into institutions of academic excellence.
