Emerging Leaders Program

Our Emerging Leaders program offers a select group of teachers, leaders, coaches, assistant principals and other leaders in instructional roles the chance to build and expand leadership skills that drive academic success for students in high-need schools.  At the culmination of the program, we will evaluate participants’ readiness to begin our Aspiring Principals Program.

Applicants who live outside of the Greater New Orleans area are not eligible for the Emerging Leaders Program and should apply directly to our Aspiring Principals Program by first filling out the Eligibility Pre-Screening Form on our website.

If you are currently in a teaching or school-based instructional leadership role in the Greater New Orleans area, the Emerging Leaders Program is your pathway into the Aspiring Principals Program. Therefore, do not fill out the Eligibility Pre-Screening Form but please contact Nicholas Kapustinsky at nkapustinsky@newleaders.org for more information.

Aspiring Principals Program

Through our rigorous selection process, intensive training program, and ongoing support, we provide a pathway for current and former educators to become outstanding principals of high-need public schools.

If you are not currently in a teaching or school-based instructional leadership role and/or you do not currently live in Greater New Orleans, you can start the application process to the Aspiring Principals Program by filling out the Eligibility Pre-screening Form.
