Emerging Leaders Program
Our Emerging Leaders Program offers a select group of teacher leaders, coaches and assistant principals the chance to build and expand leadership skills that drive academic success for students in high-need schools. At the culmination of the program, we will evaluate participants’ readiness to begin our Aspiring Principals Program.
If you are currently in a school-based instructional leadership role in Chicago Public Schools and are interested in participating in our Emerging Leaders Program, please contact Hope Kyle for more information. Applicants who live outside of the Chicago area are not eligible for the Emerging Leaders Program and should apply directly to our Aspiring Principals Program.
All Chicago Emerging Leaders Program applicants:
- Must live in the Chicago area
- Must currently be in a teaching or school-based instructional leadership role
- Must also fulfill the eligibility requirements for the Aspiring Principals Program below.

Aspiring Principals Program
The Aspiring Principals Program combines an intensive leadership curriculum with a yearlong Residency training with a mentor principal in a Chicago Public School. Through our rigorous selection process, intensive training program and ongoing support, we provide a pathway for current and former educators to become outstanding principals in Chicago.
We are not currently accepting applications to the Aspiring Principals Program. Please check back on our website in Summer 2012 to learn more about the application process. If you have questions, please contact Hope Kyle.
